Mariano Silletti





Mariano Silletti (born in Pisticci in 1972) lives in Matera-Italy. At young age, he enlisted in
the Carabinieri Corps and in 1997 he started to study photography in Bari. He is a member
of a photographers' collective, "Inquadra". His projects have been published in
international magazines (Burn, Gup and Vieworld). In 2012 he was a finalist for the Leica
Talent Italy and two years later, in 2014, his project "Domus Sapiens" was selected as the
best work of the Leica Talent Italy. In 2015 he was a finalist at Siena International
Photography Award. In the same year, another project "Ludovicu" was exhibited at the
National Museum of Medieval and Contemporary Art of Palazzo Lanfranchi (Matera),
awarded at the Festival of Ethical Photography of Lodi and the Moscow International
Photo Awards, becoming also a self-produced book in a limited edition (300 copies).
